{"id":86,"date":"2008-12-17T15:17:00","date_gmt":"2008-12-17T20:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newblog.anonymousmanager.com\/blog\/?p=86"},"modified":"2008-12-17T15:17:00","modified_gmt":"2008-12-17T20:17:00","slug":"the-perfect-christmas-present-for-gw-the-eff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anonymousmanager.com\/blog\/2008\/12\/the-perfect-christmas-present-for-gw-the-eff\/","title":{"rendered":"The perfect christmas present for GW &amp; the EFF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The EFF&nbsp;(Electronic Frontier Foundation) has produced a <a href=\"http:\/\/w2.eff.org\/12days\/\">cute little song<\/a> to solicit donations and I think they&#8217;ve earned their money this year, working hard on a multitude of issues including Travel Screening, Fair Voting and chasing down the NSA. &nbsp;So what do they work on?<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Free Speech Rights\n<\/li>\n<li>Innovation Issues\n<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual Property\n<\/li>\n<li>International Issues\n<\/li>\n<li>Privacy Rights\n<\/li>\n<li>Transparency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eff.org\/work\">(They say it better though.)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\nSomeone else who deserves a gift is our outgoing president. &nbsp;We would figure that the upcoming time off would be enough, but to be fair, he doesn&#8217;t really need more time off (he takes a bit more than 12 weeks a year). &nbsp;So what should we get him? &nbsp;Well, the good people of San Francisco decided not to name their sewer plant after the President. &nbsp;It just wasn&#8217;t fair to the hard working plant. &nbsp;Don&#8217;t get me wrong, they truly considered it. &nbsp;They even put it on a ballot. &nbsp;So how about a gift membership to the EFF?<\/p>\n<p>GW has been very kind to the EFF over the past eight years. &nbsp;He has handed them more work than they ever thought possible. &nbsp;In fact, without GW, they might never have gotten the publicity it takes to really make a difference. &nbsp;So how about a <a href=\"http:\/\/secure.eff.org\/giftmembership\">gift membership in the name of George W.
